Shoe Zone Acquires Stead & Simpson (29.01.08)

The Shoe Zone Group has announced that, on 28th January, it exchanged contracts to purchase the Stead & Simpson business for an undisclosed sum.

Anthony Smith said:

" We are delighted to acquire the Stead & Simpson business and continue to play our part in the consolidation of the footwear market.  We look forward to returning the Stead & Simpson business back to profitability in the coming months."

Shoe Zone Sponsors a Third Variety Club Sunshine Bus (03.12.07)

On 27th November, Shoe Zone were delighted to present their third Variety Club Sunshine Bus to Park School, Blackpool which caters for 154 children aged 4 - 19 all with moderate and severe learning difficulties.  

Accompanied by X-Factor's Eton Road, Anthony & Charles Smith handed over the keys to Mr Berry (Headteacher) who said "This new, bigger coach will have real impact on the lives of the children.  We will be able to involve more pupils in school projects and increase the number of community activities.  A big thank you to our sponsors, Shoe Zone."

Shoefayre Acquisition (07.09.07)

The Shoe Zone Group has announced that, on 7th September, it exchanged contracts with The Co-operative Group to buy its footwear retail business, Shoefayre, for an undisclosed sum.

Anthony Smith (Shoe Zone Chief Executive) said:

"We are delighted to acquire the Shoefayre business and play a major part in the much needed consolidation of the footwear market.  We look forward to continuing the process of returning the Shoefayre business back to profitability over the coming months."
